Chapter 7: I tried putting in a demon king
Someone called out to the fallen Gold-ranked adventurer.
Jay, huh? Oh right, that was his name. Just when I finally managed to remember it, he's already on the verge of death.
"Brandie, what the hell happened?!"
Apparently, Brandie is the one who stabbed him. I haven't had any conversations with this guy, so his name didn't stick in my memory at all.
Come to think of it, wasn't he the one who was observing everyone from a distance?
I thought he was just being cautious, but it seems he was up to something.
"Hehehe, thank you for the guidance. With this, the Demon King will once again revive."
Brandie seems delighted.
This guy is seriously wicked. Who would've thought there'd be such scum among our party?
...But you know what? It's a relief that it wasn't me who got stabbed.
"You! Are you one of the Demon King's minions!?"
Minion, huh? I see. So they were waiting for an opportunity to break the seal.
Now that I look closely, the sword this guy is holding is the one that was stuck in the ground.
He must have pulled it out and stabbed Jay with it. Quite brutal.
"Rick, let's take this guy down together. Flank him."
The gold-ranked adventurers whisper to each other.
Rick seems to be the veteran, while the other person is unknown.
Anyway, it looks like the two of them will deal with him. That's a relief.

I create a massive hole.
It swallowed the cracked magic circle along with everything else.

And then, silence.
The Demon King never showed up after that.
It was resolved so easily.
Phew, that was close. We managed to deal with it before it fully revived.
"If his body had come out, things would have probably gotten troublesome."
But this hole is amazing.
He can probably dodge, but escaping seems impossible.
"What...?"
Brandie stared at the hole in a dazed expression.
"We defeated... him?"
"You did? No way..."
The other gold-ranked adventurers look at us with disbelief.
Yeah! I did it!
You guys owe your lives to me! Show some gratitude!!
"What kind of magic is this? It's different from earth magic. I've never seen this kind of magic before."
Yeah, I have no idea either.
I'm not even sure if it's magic in the first place.
"Wait a minute!"
Just when I was feeling good about being praised, the follower girl interrupted me.
She didn’t hesitate to find fault with me, even though I saved her life.
"This hole looks just like the one that swallowed Yuuto. It must be you after all!"
Yeah, that's right!

But now, let's change the subject.
The perfect scapegoat has appeared.
We have to make use of this.
"Is this the time to be saying such things? There are other things we need to do. Capture that guy. All the blame lies with him!"
